About the Company

"Uzenergosotish" JSC was established in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-166 dated September 28, 2023, "On measures for the next stage of reforming the energy sector," and has been operating as a company performing centralized electricity purchase and sale functions since July 1, 2024.

The establishment of "Uzenergosotish" JSC can be seen as the first step in transitioning to a competitive wholesale electricity market mechanism.

According to the Presidential Decree, the main task of the Company at the initial stage is to purchase electricity from producers and sell it to regional electric network companies and large consumers at set tariffs during the transition period to a competitive wholesale market mechanism. In the next stage, it is planned to sell electricity at free market prices through an online trading platform based on demand and supply.

Additionally, "Uzenergosotish" JSC carries out electricity export and import operations on a contractual basis.

Currently, "Uzenergosotish" JSC, having formalized contracts for electricity sales with "Thermal Power Plants" JSC, "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC, and 14 regional electric network companies, as well as export and import contracts with neighboring countries, has been conducting electricity trade operations since July 1, 2024.
